Q1: What defines DAO CRAFTS’ design philosophy?

DAO CRAFTS combines traditional Chinese craftsmanship with contemporary design, taking inspiration from the cultural heritage, natural landscapes, traditional patterns, and artisanal traditions associated with Wudang and other regions of China.

We focus on material quality, craftsmanship, balanced design, practical usability, and cultural character, while allowing traditional elements to be reinterpreted for modern lifestyles. Rather than simply reproducing historical objects, our approach is to preserve the visual and handcrafted qualities of traditional Chinese culture while creating products that feel natural in contemporary homes, wardrobes, and collections.

Q2: How do you select and source your materials?

We pay close attention to the origin, characteristics, and suitability of materials used in our products, particularly when working with natural materials such as jade, wood, stone, and textiles.

Our approach focuses on three main principles:

① Material Selection
Natural materials are selected according to their appearance, texture, durability, and suitability for the intended product. Materials such as jade, obsidian, wood, stone, silk, and metal may have natural variations in color, grain, texture, or surface characteristics.

② Responsible Production
Where practical, we aim to reduce unnecessary material waste through careful cutting, processing, and reuse of suitable remnants in smaller decorative or craft applications.

③ Craftsmanship & Quality
We work with experienced artisans and production specialists to maintain appropriate standards throughout shaping, carving, polishing, engraving, assembly, and finishing.

Please note that natural materials may vary from one piece to another, and these differences are part of their natural character.

Q3: What makes DAO CRAFTS craftsmanship special?

Our products combine hand-finished craftsmanship with modern production techniques, allowing traditional visual characteristics to be maintained while achieving greater consistency and practicality.

Depending on the product, craftsmanship may include:

Hand carving and polishing for natural stone and wood products.

Q4: What is your return policy?

For standard products, we generally accept returns within 30 days, provided the item is unused and returned in its original condition and packaging.

For customized, personalized, or made-to-order products, returns may not be accepted because the item has been specially prepared according to the customer’s requirements.

Q5: Do you ship internationally?

Yes. DAO CRAFTS serves customers internationally, and shipping times vary depending on the destination, shipping method, customs processing, and local delivery conditions.

Typical estimated delivery times may include:

USA: Approximately 5–7 business days
EU / UK: Approximately 8–12 business days
Other international destinations: Approximately 10–21 business days

Actual delivery times may vary, particularly during holidays, peak shopping periods, customs inspections, or unexpected transportation delays.

Any applicable taxes, duties, or customs charges depend on the destination country and the shipping terms associated with the individual order.

Q6: What should I do if my order is delayed?

If your package appears to be delayed, please contact us at info@daocrafts.com and provide:

② Your tracking number or tracking screenshot

Our support team will check the shipping status and work with the appropriate carrier when necessary. If a package is confirmed to be lost, we will provide an appropriate solution according to the circumstances and applicable order policy.

Q7: How should I care for my bracelet or jewelry?

Proper care can help preserve the appearance and service life of natural-material jewelry.

Cleaning:
Gently wipe the surface with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Avoid strong chemicals, abrasive cleaners, prolonged soaking, or unnecessary exposure to cleaning products.

Storage:
Store jewelry separately when possible to reduce contact between harder materials and softer surfaces that could cause scratches. A suitable jewelry box or protective pouch is recommended.

Daily Use:
Although many natural stones are durable, jewelry should not be deliberately exposed to strong impacts, extreme temperatures, or harsh chemicals. Remove jewelry before activities where it may experience excessive friction or impact.

Natural materials can change subtly over time depending on light exposure, humidity, skin contact, and environmental conditions.

Q8: Are DAO CRAFTS products suitable for children?

Some products may be suitable for older children when used appropriately, but small jewelry components, beads, cords, and other small parts may present a choking hazard.

For children under three years old, products containing small detachable components should not be used.

Children should also be supervised when using or wearing jewelry, and gemstones, beads, cords, and decorative components should never be placed in the mouth.

Customization time depends on the complexity of the requested design.

Text or Initials: Usually requires approximately 3 additional business days.

More Complex Patterns: Designs involving detailed traditional Chinese patterns, landscapes, characters, or other decorative elements may require approximately 7 additional business days.

The exact production time will depend on the product and the complexity of the customization, and customers may be contacted for design confirmation before production begins.

Ⅴ. SUPPORT & SERVICES | 售后与服务

Q11: What should I do if my product is damaged?

If a product has a confirmed manufacturing defect, please contact us as soon as possible after receiving the item and provide photographs or other relevant information so our team can assess the issue.

For eligible manufacturing defects, we may provide repair or replacement service according to the specific circumstances and applicable warranty terms.

For products that use cords or other replaceable components, maintenance or restringing services may also be available depending on the product.

Q12: Why might the color of my natural stone change over time?

Natural materials can display subtle changes due to environmental conditions and everyday use.

For example, prolonged exposure to strong sunlight may affect the appearance of certain stones, while contact with moisture, cosmetics, oils, or skin may gradually alter the surface appearance of some materials.

These changes do not necessarily indicate a defect. Because natural stones are formed through different geological processes, color, texture, inclusions, and surface characteristics can naturally vary between individual pieces.
